Dalam quantity theory of money yang dicetuskan oleh Irving Fisher, komponen penentu inflasi maupun kestabilan harga maupun produktivitas sektor riil adalah money- nya atau velocity -nya. karena memang rumusnya -> MV = P.T. Artinya perputaran uang atau velocity memainkan peran penting dalam menentukan terciptanya kestabilan harga maupun produktivitas sektor riil, selain dari supply uang itu sendiri.
